Two constables attached to Tiruvannamalai East Police Station in Tiruvannamalai town were arrested and later suspended on the charges of raping a 19-year-old woman in the early hours of Tuesday.
The constables were identified as Suresh Raj and Sunder. Initial inquiry revealed that along with her sister, the victim, a native of Andhra Pradesh, came in a goods-laden truck to deliver a consignment of vegetables and fruits to the common market in Tiruvannamalai town.
