As part of the nationwide initiative “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NIMHANS in collaboration with Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, organised a free screening camp for cervical and breast cancer. The camp was open to all women employees.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the NIMHANS community and 74 employees were screened on Wednesday.

The mobile screening bus from Kidwai is stationed at the OPD block near the free drug counter from 10 am to 4 pm. Screening is being conducted by women oncologists to ensure comfort and privacy for participants. Women are required to provide their ABHA ID or Aadhaar card, and the quick two-minute process collected basic health information. Screening reports are being shared both as hard copies and through email for convenience.

The “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” is being observed from September 17 to October 2 with activities across the country aimed at strengthening women’s health through awareness, screening, and preventive care, stated an official release.
