The ticket issue counter of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at Alipiri on Thursday saw heavy rush due to the weekend, coupled with the Vaikuntha Ekadasi festival and Christmas holidays, leading jostling among the devotees.
With the 15,000 Slotted Sarva Darshan tickets being booked in no time, desperate pilgrims got enraged and rushed to the Divya Darshan counters, creating tense situation.
As more pilgrims tried to barge into the queue line, the TTD deployed additional manpower from its vigilance and security wings, which brought order at the counter.
