Police, fire force officers from Kerala chosen for President’s Medal

Shanawaz Abdul Shahab, Superintendent of Police, State Special Branch, Kerala Police; and Rajendranath M., Tanur Station Officer, Kerala Fire and Rescue Services, have been selected for the President’s Medals for Distinguished Service.

The officers were among the select few chosen for the President’s Medals from across India as part of the Republic Day celebrations.

Ten police officers have been named recipients of the Medals for Meritorious Service. The awardees include Additional Superintendent of Police A.P. Chandran; Deputy Superintendents of Police K.E. Premachandran, Unnikrishnan Veluthedan, Anilkumar T., M.M. Jose and V.V. Manoj; Assistant Commissioners of Police Ashraf T.K. and Premanandakrishnan C.; Sub-Inspectors Santhosh Kumar T. and Pramod Das Paravana Vayalil.

From the Kerala Fire and Rescue Services, the Medals for Meritorious Service will be conferred upon District Fire Officer Jogy A.S., Senior Fire and Rescue Officers V.A. Jaffer Khan and V.N. Venugopal.

Deputy Superintendents Ramachandran T.V., Assistant Superintendents Grade 1 Mohammed Hussain S., Sathish Babu K. and Rajesh Kumar A. were also chosen for the Medals for Meritorious Service from the Kerala Prisons and Correctional Services.
