Government Vocational and Higher Secondary School, Karakulam, Thiruvananthapuram district, bagged the first prize in the ‘My School My Pride’ reels competition organised by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE).

The second prize was shared by Achyutha Warrier HSS, Ponnani, in Malappuram, and SNDP Higher Secondary School, Udayamperoor, in Ernakulam district.

The third prize was awarded to AM Lower Primary School, Idayur, in Malappuram, and HM HSS, Pazhakulam, in Kollam. The jury also recognized four entries with a special mention: GG VHSS, Feroke, Kozhikode; Kochu Kottaram LP School, Njandupara, Kottayam; GHS Vadasseri, Malappuram; and MKHM HSS, Mukkam, Kozhikode.

There are 101 winners in all. As many as 1,555 public schools from across the State submitted reels through their ‘Little KITES’ units. The top 101 reels, all under 90 seconds, were selected from among them.

The top three winners will receive ₹30,000, ₹20,000 and ₹15,000, respectively. Schools that received special mention will be awarded ₹10,000, and the other winners will each receive ₹5,000.

KITE chief executive officer K. Anvar Sadath said the 101 schools will be felicitated in a ceremony that will virtually connect all 14 KITE district offices on November 15.

A complete list of the winners and their reels is available on the KITE website www.kite.kerala.gov.in
