Uttar Pradesh remains on high alert with intensive checking across the State on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) in view of the blast near Red Fort in Delhi. Sensitive cities in the State, including Lucknow, Ayodhya, Agra, and Saharanpur witnessed beefed up security arrangements.

“In view of the explosion incident in Delhi, to maintain strong security and vigilance in the State, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji, after receiving information about the incident from Director General of Police Rajiv Krishna, has given instructions to keep the entire police force in Uttar Pradesh on high alert and ensure intensive checking and security arrangements,” an official statement said.

Teams from the Anti-Terrorism Squad and Jammu & Kashmir Police conducted a raid at the residence of one Dr. Parvez Ansari in the Madiyaon area of Lucknow. Dr. Ansari is believed to have links with Dr. Shaheen Shahid, who was arrested on Monday in connection with the Faridabad terror module. It is believed that law enforcement agencies seized several important documents and electronic devices from the house. Dr. Parvez was not at home during the search, but his family members were questioned, and efforts are underway to trace his whereabouts.

Senior police officers, including Senior Superintendents of Police and Superintendents of Police in their respective districts inspected sensitive/crowded areas, markets, public events, and religious places. Security arrangements at important establishments, religious places, crowded places, and other sensitive points are being re-reviewed and increased.

Vehicle checking, and intensive vigilance at metro/bus terminals, railway stations, malls, cinema halls, and other public transport/crowded centres with QRT (quick response teams), bomb disposal squads, and dog squads were kept in alert mode.

“We are maintaining foot patrolling and real-time analysis of CCTV feeds with prompt reporting of suspicious persons/activities by activating local intelligence and citizen information networks,” a senior police official in Lucknow said.
