Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) C. Joseph Vijay’s victory sweep has not only benefited the actor’s two-year-old party. It has equally favoured the AIADMK to make deep inroads in northern Tamil Nadu, considered a DMK fortress covering Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, and Tiruvannamalai districts.
These districts, which was once part of erstwhile North Arcot region, has a total of 21 Assembly constituencies.
