Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy explained about the State Government’s efforts to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI)-led solutions in issues ranging from tracking farmer subsidy, property tax collections, ensuring delivery of subsidies to women and urban municipal issues.

Participating in a high profile session on ‘Intelligent Infrastructure for Building Competitiveness’ hosted by the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, he outlined Telangana’s efforts to innovate a range of issues and policies using AI. “System intelligence has been both the problem and solution,” he said.

Explaining about the impact of AI in governance, he said that with AI most governments could not afford to stay idle and ‘we realise the value of being proactive and fast’. He explained to the participants about the ambitious Telangana Rising 2047 vision envisaged with the goal of becoming a $3 trillion economy. The State Capital, Hyderabad, was a hub of global capability centres with biggest companies across industries operating from the State. The government was committed to building intelligent systems so as to remain attractive to investors.

Several prominent business leaders and policymakers spoke on building intelligent infrastructure — from smart factories to sustainable energy systems to AI-driven services and smart cities. They showcased examples on effective solutions being implemented in various countries across the world.
