Three officers promoted to DGP rank

Three senior IPS officers belonging to the 1995 batch were promoted to the rank of Director General of Police on Tuesday. 

The Tamil Nadu Government issued orders promoting and posting several IPS officers across the State. 

ADGP (Law and Order) S. Davidson Devasirvatham was promoted and posted as DGP, Armed Police, Chennai. Two other ADGP (Cyber Crime Wing) Sandeep Mittal and ADGP (Economic Offences Wing) B. Bala Naga Devi were promoted as DGPs and posted to head the same wings. 

Avadi Commissioner K. Shankar was posted as the ADGP (Prison) replacing Maheshwar Dayal transferred and posted as the ADGP (Law and Order). 

IGP (South Zone) Prem Anand Sinha on promotion as ADGP was posted as the new Commissioner of Avadi. IGP Vijayendra S. Bidari was posted as the new IGP, South Zone, Madurai. 

ADGP (EBCID) A. Amalraj was posted as Tambaram Commissioner in the place of Abhin Dinesh Modak posted as ADGP (EBCID). 

IGP T.S. Anbu was promoted as ADGP and retained in the Crime Branch CID.
