The General Education department on Friday announced the results of the first-year higher secondary (Plus One) examinations held in March 2026.

According to official sources, 4,10,190 students had registered for the examination. Of them, the results of 4,04,722 candidates were tabulated and published after excluding absentees and cases kept pending. A total of 2,50,981 students secured more than 30% marks, taking the overall pass percentage to 62.01%, up from 60.76% recorded last year.

Among the three major streams, Science recorded the highest pass percentage at 66.98%, with 1,26,622 students securing more than 30% marks out of 1,89,046 whose marks were tabulated. Commerce followed with 63.68%, as 78,004 students passed from 1,22,502 evaluated candidates. Humanities registered a pass percentage of 49.76%, with 45,656 students clearing the examination out of 91,753 whose marks were tabulated.

The Technical higher secondary stream recorded a pass percentage of 49.19%, with 699 students securing above 30% marks from 1,421 evaluated candidates.

In the regular school category alone, the overall pass percentage stood at 63.51%, while Open School candidates recorded 41.23%.

The release of the detailed results, originally scheduled for 3 p.m., through the official examination website (results.hse.kerala.gov.in), was delayed owing to a nationwide cyberattack on government websites. However, the portal soon became accessible for students to view their examination results.
