The police have completed the questioning of three Bangladeshi nationals who were taken into custody from a migrant labourers’ camp in Kozhikode district of Kerala on Monday.

According to sources, Mohammad Vula Hussain, Mohammed Mehdi Hadan, and Mohammed Hassan Ali were detained by personnel from the Mavoor police station from Kalpally. Later, their arrests were recorded under the Immigration and Foreigners Act.

They were reportedly staying at Edavannappara in Malappuram district earlier and shifted to Kalpally near Mavoor around three weeks ago. During questioning, they reportedly told the police that they had been engaged in concrete mixing work.

Meanwhile, evidence of their involvement in any criminal activities is yet to be found. However, the police is likely to inspect migrant labourers’ camps to gather more information in the coming days. It is learnt that the State Special Branch and the Intelligence Bureau too have questioned them.

The three were sent for medical examination before being produced in court later in the day.
