The Tamil Nadu government is poised to sign a slew of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in the aerospace and defence sectors at the upcoming TN Rising Summit in Coimbatore on November 25, 2025. According to State government sources, a deal will be signed with VAF Aero Systems and the firm will be investing around ₹510 crore.

Sakthi Aircraft Industry has given commitment to invest ₹500 crore and provide employment to 1,200 persons, sources said. Meanwhile, Fovia Tech will be pumping in ₹200 crore for drone manufacturing. Other firms that will be signing MoUs include Minerva Special Purpose Vehicle (₹51 crore); Cingularity Aerospace – (₹50 crore) and Countermeasures Technologies (₹50 crore), they claimed.

Among the major announcements lined up for the TN Rising Summit is a ₹4,200-crore investment agreement with STT Global Data Centre. This particular MoU is pertaining to the Chennai zone and will create over 1,800 high-value jobs, the source claimed.

Tamil Nadu’s electronics sector is also set to attract significant capital at the summit, with Singapore-based Caliber Interconnects committing ₹3,000 crore and fellow Singapore investor TD Connex poised to sign an MoU valued at ₹1,057 crore.

Home-grown electronics component manufacturer Sancraft Industries, headquartered in Oragadam, Kanchipuram, has announced an expansion plan in Tamil Nadu with a proposed investment of ₹400 crore. The firm intends to scale up its manufacturing footprint and strengthen its Technology and Design capabilities to serve the mobile and telecom electronics sectors.

All these MoUs will be signed and exchanged in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa on Tuesday.

Coimbatore is repositioning itself as a high-tech industrial and innovation hub. This year’s conclave focuses on driving investments into advanced electronics, auto electronics, aerospace & defence, drones and small aircraft, and digital infrastructure including data centres and GCCs.

The city will also promote precision manufacturing for aerospace and defence, a growing aviation ecosystem, and robust IT and R&D infrastructure to attract global capability centres. The main aim of the conclave is to position Coimbatore as a future-ready industrial, innovation and services destination that attracts global investors and creates high-skill jobs.

The Coimbatore edition marks the third TN Rising Summit. The first TN Rising event was held in Thoothukudi, where the government signed MoUs worth ₹32,554 crore. The second edition, held in Hosur, saw the signing of investment deals totaling ₹24,307 crore. The Tamil Nadu government launched the TN Rising Summit to channel fresh investments into the State’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities, with the broader goal of driving balanced and inclusive industrial growth across regions.
