General Education Minister N. Samsudheen has said that the State government will take steps to strengthen the public education sector to enable students to compete with their counterparts in other countries.

He was at C.M.M. Higher Secondary School at Thalakkulathoor near here on Monday (July 6) to open the State-level ‘Pravashanotsavam’ for Plus One classes.

Mr. Samsudheen said that the world was becoming a global village and the people were coming closer to each other. This was impacting the education sector too. “We need to go along with this and realise the aspirations of the students. The education system here should be changed so as to attract students from other parts of the world. The changes in technology, including those in artificial intelligence, should reflect in the education sector,” he said. M.K. Raghavan, Kozhikode MP, Vidya Balakrishnan, Elathur MLA, and Snehil Kumar Singh, Director, General Education, were present, among others.
