The Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to investigate the alleged custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna at Krishnalanka police station reportedly filed its chargesheet in the case in the court on Monday.
The investigating officials mentioned the reasons for the arrest of Sai Krishna (25) by the Krishnalanka police on May 6, 2026, including his alleged illegal detainment and torture, habeas corpus petition filed by his mother, Vijaya Lakshmi, his death, and the disposal of the body and evidences in the chargesheet.
SIT officials said that the seven accused, including the then Krishnalanka police station Circle Inspector S.S.V.V. Nagaraju, have been arrested in the case so far.
