Three killed in car-bus collision at Morayur in Malappuram

Three persons were killed and two others seriously injured when their car collided with a bus at Morayur near here on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Sakeena, 42, Fasila, 19, and Shiyas, 23.

Shiyas was behind the wheel when the car lost control and collided head-on with the bus coming from Palakkad. They were returning from the Calicut airport.

The car was badly damaged in the crash. Though Sakeena and Fasila were rushed to a private hospital at Kondotty, they could not be saved. Shiyas was rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri. But he too died soon.

Two other passengers in the car, Afreeda and Ibrahim, were admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode, with serious injuries.
