In a series of coordinated crackdowns, the Hyderabad Police and Commissioner’s Task Force teams arrested seven persons and busted multiple illegal food manufacturing units across the city, seizing adulterated and unhygienic products worth lakhs.

In the largest operation, officials from the Golconda zone arrested a 31-year-old trader Nakoul Marotiyaa in Begum Bazar for running an illegal coconut powder manufacturing unit under the name ‘Balaji Purushotham Coconut Business Shop’. The accused was found repackaging low-quality coconut powder sourced cheaply from Karnataka into branded packets and selling it as genuine products without licence or food safety certification.
