Extensive preparations are under way in Hyderabad ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the city on November 21. The President will arrive at Begumpet Airport in the afternoon, halt briefly at Raj Bhavan and later attend the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsavam at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum as the chief guest. She will spend the night at Raj Bhavan and depart for Puttaparthi the following morning.

Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao reviewed the arrangements with senior officials on Wednesday, November 12 and directed them to personally oversee every aspect of the visit. He instructed the police to draw up a comprehensive plan for security, traffic regulation and bandobast as per the Blue Book and the VVIP protocol manual. All departments concerned have been told to ensure seamless coordination.

At the meeting, officials also discussed arrangements for the visit of Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on November 16. He will arrive at Begumpet Airport in the afternoon, stop at Raj Bhavan for a short break, attend the Governor’s High Tea and later take part in a programme at Ramoji Film City. He will leave for New Delhi from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 8 p.m.

According to an official release, Advance Security Liaison and full dress rehearsals will be conducted a day before each event to ensure that protocol and security procedures are carried out without any lapse.
