Adherence to the prescribed procession route, preventing nuisance such as bike stunts and prohibiting the use of DJ systems were among the key focus areas discussed during a meeting conducted by the South Zone police for the peaceful and smooth conduct of Milad-un-Nabi procession scheduled for September 14.

The meeting, held at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Purani Haveli, on Wednesday was attended by the Central Milad Juloos Committee President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, committee members, and key organisers, along with senior officers of South Zone police.

Organisers were instructed to sensitise participants against activities such as bike stunts and removal of silencers causing sound pollution and to maintain orderly movement on the road to facilitate smooth traffic flow.

Officials emphasised that any violation, including the use of DJ systems, would attract legal action under the BNS, Hyderabad City Police Act and Noise Pollution Act. Committee members assured the police that strict compliance would be observed and volunteers, identified by caps and T-shirts, would be deployed to monitor the procession.

The meeting concluded with the committee agreeing to cooperate fully with police authorities to ensure a peaceful and smooth conduct of the Milad-un-Nabi festival.
