Four members of a family were injured after the car they were travelling in collided with a TGSRTC bus near Medipalli village in Metpalli mandal of Jagtial district in the early hours of Sunday.

Sources said that the Korutla-based family was returning from a pilgrimage to Sri Dattatreya temple in Ganagapur of Karnataka when the accident occurred. Four occupants of the car including three women suffered multiple injuries in the bus-car collision, sources added.

The bus was heading to Hyderabad from Metpalli at the time of the accident. The injured persons were admitted to separate hospitals in Metpalli and Karimnagar.
