Noida International Airport will commence commercial flight operations from June 15 after appointing an Indian CEO, following the security regulator’s refusal to grant clearance to its previous Swiss chief, which had delayed the airport’s launch.
The airport said the start date follows the “receipt of approval for its Aerodrome Security Programme (ASP) from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), certifying that its security framework, systems and operating procedures meet regulatory requirements for commercial operations,” according to a press statement.
