The State government has accorded permission for linking the attendance data generated through facial recognition system (FRS) with the examination fee payment process and examination eligibility of student-teachers.

The system will be applied to all State-run District Institute of Education and Training (DIETs) and private colleges with Diploma in Elementary Education and Diploma in Pre School Education. The process will be mandated from the current academic year.

The practice, officials said, will help create an integrated system to ensure that only eligible students can register for examinations and make the examination process more efficient and transparent.
