Kerala Tourism has come out with an evocative post marking the birthday of John Lennon, (on October 9, 2025), The Beatles’ co-lead vocalist and one of rock’s most prolific and iconic songwriters.

A picture featuring five women artistes clad in the traditional attire of three religious art forms and crossing a road with the tagline ‘Imagine/ all the people/ livin’ life in peace’ reminds netizens of John Lennon’s message about peace, one that echoes as pressing as ever, although decades have slipped by since his death.

With the punchline, ‘Imagine crossing borders, touching hearts and tearing down walls. Imagine a world united in peace,’ the social media post put out by the official handle of Kerala Tourism evokes a feeling of his songs and message, which remain timeless.

The legendary singer-songwriter and peace activist would have turned 85 now. The tweet was posted by Kerala Tourism even as the world celebrated his life, timeless music, and legacy with events and performances.

The gesture by Kerala Tourism reminds one of Lennon’s conviction that collective imagination has the power to drive transformative change across the world.

The Beatles had visited India several times, and fans hardly forget their stay at at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram in Rishikesh.
