Following protests by students demanding action, the management of Kannur Dental College at Anjarakandy in Kerala has decided to dismiss Head of Department Dr. M.K. Ram who faces allegations of harassment in connection with the death of first-year BDS student Nithin Raj.

The decision to initiate dismissal proceedings against the faculty member came after discussions with student union representatives. Students had earlier warned of a class boycott until action was taken and continued to raise fresh allegations against the faculty member.
