Responding to IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s call to invest in Andhra Pradesh, Amara Raja Group MD Jayadev Galla stated on X that he was thankful for the kind words, and noted that A.P. was where the company’s journey began and it would always be special to him.

“Our roots are deep, our commitment remains unwavering, and I am confident they will only grow stronger in the years ahead. Together, we will continue creating opportunities and building a brighter future,” Mr. Jayadev, who was twice Member of Parliament from Guntur, asserted.

Mr. Lokesh posted a message on social media on July 16 apologising to Mr. Jayadev for the “harassment” faced by the Amara Raja Group during 2019-24 (when YSRCP was in power), and expressing hope that it would still “write its biggest chapters in Andhra Pradesh.”

In a separate message, Mr. Jayadev thanked BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao for his steadfast support and confidence in the Amara Raja Group’s vision. He acknowledged that Mr. Rama Rao’s encouragement had played an important role in helping the Amara Raja Giga Corridor take shape, and said he was proud to contribute to Telangana’s continuing emergence as a global hub for advanced cell manufacturing and energy storage solutions.

The Amara Raja Group had commissioned its Customer Qualification Plant at its Giga Corridor in Mahabubnagar with an investment of ₹9,500 crore, bridging battery R&D and commercial manufacturing by enabling product and process qualification before production begins at the gigafactory next year.
