Four members of a family were killed on Saturday evening after a car rammed their two-wheeler from the rear on National Highway 161 in Medak district.
The accident was reported around 7.30 p.m. at Kollapally village while the victims were travelling from Hyderabad towards Kamareddy.
The deceased were identified as Kurma Lingamaiah, 48, Kurma Saiamma, 42, and their children Kurma Sai, 15, and Kurma Manasa, 13.
An official from the Shankarampet Police said all four were riding on the same two-wheeler when the speeding vehicle hit them from behind, leading to their death on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
A case has been booked and efforts are under way to trace the accused. Further investigation is under way.
