Ensure Biligundlu gets 13.78 tmc, T.N. urges Cauvery panel

The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday urged the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) to ensure that Biligundlu received 13.78 tmc of water due for November. Tamil Nadu Water Resources Department secretary J. Jayakanthan and Chairman of the Cauvery Technical Cell R. Subramanian virtually took part in the 45th meeting of the CWMA, presided over by its Chairman S.K. Haldar. As on November 5, storage in the Mettur dam was 89.741 tmc, an official release said. The inflow was 6,401 cusecs, while the outflow was 18,427 cusecs.
