A worker, V. Dasarada Ramaiah (46), allegedly died in an accident at an aqua exports unit located in Kurumuddali village of Pamarru mandal in Krishna district on Saturday.
“The bucket of an earth mover machine at the site hit Dasarada Ramaiah while he was working. He suffered critical head injury and died,” said a co-worker.
The body was shifted to Government General Hospital for post-mortem. The Krishna district police registered a case and initiated investigation.
Meanwhile, the workers allege that the accident occurred due to negligence and demanded that the management of the shrimp processing and exports unit pay compensation to the bereaved family.
