Residents of southeast Bengaluru heading to the city centre and beyond are greeted by clouds of dust, relentless honking, and a strong stench from the waste transfer station on Srinivagilu Main Road near National Games Village (NGV), as the white-topping work continues to drag on.
Covering the 750-metre stretch of the Srinivagilu Main Road from the Regional Passport Office in Koramangala to Ejipura Main Road takes nearly five minutes during peak hours, as the stretch has over three bottlenecks. Adding to the misery, the Intermediate Ring Road (IRR), which runs parallel, is already congested at Sony Signal and the Ejipura Junction, making commuting in the area a Herculean task.
