Accompanied by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Ministers Vivek Venkataswamy and Mohammed Azharuddin, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLAs Ganesh and Naveen Yadav, and senior officials, Mr. Vikramarka boarded a bus and travelled to the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. During the bus ride, they continued interacting with passengers and collected feedback on the convenience and effectiveness of the new system.

During the Metro journey, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with passengers and sought their views on the integrated transport system. Commuters welcomed the initiative, saying it had simplified travel by eliminating the need to purchase separate tickets for Metro and bus services. Many noted that the integration had improved last-mile connectivity and reduced confusion over bus routes after exiting Metro stations.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikramarka said the common pass would significantly benefit passengers by reducing travel hassles and enabling seamless transfers between Metro and bus services. He said women commuters and regular Metro users had expressed satisfaction with the facility, noting that it would make travel to homes, workplaces and other destinations easier.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government’s broader goal was to create an integrated public transport network across the city. Besides Metro and RTC services, the government is also exploring the future integration of other transport modes, including auto-rickshaws and app-based mobility services. He thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Transport Minister for introducing the initiative.

Mr. Prabhakar said the common pass would save commuters time, effort and money while strengthening Hyderabad’s public transport ecosystem. He observed that improving public transport was essential to tackling increasing traffic congestion and encouraging people to shift from private vehicles to mass transit.

He added that the government had already introduced daily and monthly passes and would further improve the common pass based on passenger feedback. Senior officials, including Vikas Raj, N.V.S. Reddy, Sarfaraz Ahmed, B. Ajith Reddy and Nagireddy, participated in the programme.
