Telangana’s Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy on Friday (October 17, 2025) urged all political parties and organisations to ensure that the statewide bandh call given for October 18 is observed peacefully.

In a statement released to the media, the DGP said that any attempt to disrupt public order or indulge in unlawful activities under the guise of the bandh would invite strict action from the police.

He said the police department will keep a close watch across the State to prevent untoward incidents and ensure that normal life is not affected. The DGP also appealed to citizens to act responsibly and cooperate with the police to maintain peace during the bandh.
