Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy would inaugurate an oil palm processing factory at Narmeta village in Nangunuru mandal of Siddipet district on Sunday (March 22, 2026) and simultaneously credit the first instalment of Rythu Bharosa assistance to farmers.

The Chief Minister will release ₹3,590 crore as the first instalment directly into the bank accounts of 70 lakh farmers owning up to one acre of land. The disbursement will coincide with the inauguration of the oil palm processing plant at Narmetta at 4 p.m. on Sunday (March 22, 2026).

The second instalment of ₹2,650 crore will be released on April 9 or 10, while the balance ₹2,860 crore will be credited as the third instalment before the end of April, completing the phased disbursement under the scheme.

Mr. Reddy will also unveil a commemorative pylon and lay the foundation stone for Telangana’s first oil refinery on the occasion.

Ahead of the inauguration, ‘Rythu Mahotsavams’ have been organised over the past three days at the factory premises, drawing a large number of farmers from different districts. Nearly 150 stalls have been set up showcasing agricultural mechanisation, best practices in oil palm cultivation and modern farming techniques. Scientists and agricultural experts are guiding farmers on improving productivity in agriculture and allied sectors such as horticulture, dairy, and fisheries.

Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkatswamy are closely monitoring arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit. They have directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the visit.
