A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with two chain snatching incidents involving elderly women in Chandanagar and the stolen gold chains were recovered intact within 24 hours.

The accused was identified as D Rajesh, a resident of Gopinagar in Lingampally, Ranga Reddy district. According to the police, the incidents were reported on January 31 when a 72-year-old woman and, shortly afterwards, a 73-year-old woman were targeted while returning home via Ramalayam Temple Road in the Old MIG Colony area of BHEL.

Following the complaints, teams from Chandanagar police station, along with personnel from the Serilingampally Central Crime Station and Cyberabad Special Operations Team launched a coordinated operation.
