A collective of various social organisations and activists has launched a campaign titled ‘Zero Tolerance to Sexual Violence’ (ZeTo), urging political parties to include their 30-point charter in their election manifestos.
Some of the key policy demands include a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual violence and gender discrimination against women, children, and queer individuals, implementation of the policy in all sectors, removing those facing sexual assault allegations from positions of authority until the completion of the investigation, and a separate budgetary allocation for combating sexual violence.
The campaign was launched at Vanchi Square here on Saturday (March 7).
