A soldier and a civilian were injured in two separate explosions in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Wednesday (February 11, 2026).

Officials said an anti-personnel landmine exploded at forward post Faulad, close to the Line of Control (LoC), in Gulmarg Sector, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. One Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was injured in the blast and was moved to the Badamibagh Base Hospital in Srinagar.

The Army has not issued any statement on the circumstances that led to the explosion.

In the Pir Panjal Valley’s Poonch district, an old landmine went off and injured a civilian. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at Battar Nallah.

Officials said Bilal Ahmad, 16, a resident of Banpath village, was loading sand into a tractor at Battar Nallah when the device exploded. The injured civilian was shifted to a hospital by locals.

Security forces launched a search operation following the incident to find undetonated devices in the area, officials said.
