Asserting that BJP’s ascent to power in Telangana is inevitable, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay has said that the party’s victory in State would mark the completion of the party’s objective of building a “Congress-free India.”

Addressing the party functionaries at a preparatory meeting for the upcoming municipal elections in Karimnagar on Wednesday, he said the party’s national leadership will turn its full attention towards Telangana after the Assembly elections in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.

Through relentless struggle and sacrifice, the party has registered significant success in the municipal elections even in Kerala, a long-standing Communist stronghold, he said.

Referring to West Bengal, he said that despite attacks on the houses of BJP workers and atrocities against the Mahila Morcha activists, party cadres have continued their fight without fear, challenging the TMC government in West Bengal.

He exuded confidence that the BJP will win all civic bodies, including the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, within Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency, represented by him.

The party tickets in the civic body polls will be allotted based on survey reports, he said.

He asked the BJP district presidents not to tolerate leaders who indulge in quarrels over tickets or other issues during elections and to immediately issue show-cause notices to them.
