Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, and BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav at the ‘Super Six – Super Hit’ meeting in Anantapur on Wednesday.

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president K. Pawan Kalyan has said the NDA government will develop Andhra Pradesh as a No. 1 State by 2047.

Addressing the ‘Super Six – Super Hit’ meeting in Anantapur on Wednesday, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, was implementing the ‘Super Six’ schemes despite financial distress.

“We will soon bring a health insurance scheme covering all citizens of the State,” he said.

Observing that the Rayalaseema region was synonymous to drought and backwardness, he said the NDA government had initiated steps for development of industries and agriculture in the region. “Our aim is to develop Rayalaseema as ‘Ratanala Seema’ (region of prosperity),” he said, adding that the government was fast-tracking development in all sectors.

“We won’t compromise when it comes to maintaining law and order,” Mr. Pawan Kalyan asserted, adding that it was a prerequisite to attract investments. He also said the government was developing villages in a big way and providing road connectivity to the tribal areas too.

Centre’s cooperation

In his address, BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav said the Centre was extending all cooperation to the State and cited the release of funds for the Polavaram and Amaravati capital projects. “Polavaram will be completed in two years and water will be provided to the Krishna basin. Rayalaseema will get 215 tmc ft water,” he said.

“The double-engine government has ensured 9.70 lakh crore investments to the State with a potential to generate 20 lakh jobs,” he said. A semi conductor unit would be established by the Centre and 58 national highways, with an outlay of ₹1.30 lakh crore, had been sanctioned to the State, he said.

‘Rally a super hit’

TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao said 90% of the ‘Super Six’ assurances announced in Rajahmundry ahead of the elections had been implemented. “The huge turnout of people proves it. That is why, today’s rally is a super hit,” he said.

Tracing Anantapur’s development under TDP, he said, “Thanks to the foresight of former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao and Mr. Naidu, drip irrigation has transformed Anantapur into a horticultural hub. With the arrival of Kia Motors, it has turned into an automobile hub. Now, under Mr. Naidu’s leadership, the coalition government is working to bring aerospace industries to the region. Very soon, Anantapur will emerge as the aerospace hub of the State.”

Taking a dig at the previous YSRCP government, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said it thrived on deception in the guise of welfare, and had no vision for development or wealth creation. “In contrast, the coalition government is balancing welfare with progress,” he said.
