The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Court in Vijayawada on Tuesday awarded one year rigorous imprisonment (RI) to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Superintendent for accepting ₹2,000 bribe from a PG Nursing student for issuing mark list.

The accused, Marupadiga Sridevi, was arrested in June 2014 and is currently working as Superintendent in the PG Examination section of NTRUHS, the ACB officials said in a release.

STO caught

Meanwhile, the Srikakulam ACB Range officers nabbed Srikakulam Sub-Treasury Officer (STO) Nalla Ravi Prasad and senior accountant Ambakandi Srinivasa Rao, while they were allegedly accepting ₹15,000 bribe, for processing the salary arrears bill of a Grama Sachivalayam employee.

The accused would be produced in Visakhapatnam ACB Court.

VRO, VRA arrested

Officials of Anantapur ACB Range on Tuesday caught Village Revenue Officer (VRO) Polepalli Haritha Reddy and Village Revenue Assistant (VRA) Vetti Narasimhappagari Ramanjinappa, both working in Kirikera village secretariat, while they were allegedly accepting ₹5,000 bribe from the complainant for issuing possession certificate for his property.
