The All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2025–26 will be held from October 13 to 17. Andhra Pradesh Police will host the competitions under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi.
The event, featuring weightlifting, powerlifting, and yoga, will be held at the VIT Campus, Amaravati, and Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Guntur. Competitions will be held for men and women categories.
Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha will inaugurate the All India Police Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and Yoga competitions on October 13 at 6th Battalion, APSP, Mangalagiri.
Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta, alongside senior police officers and police sports persons will attend the inaugural ceremony, said a press release issued on Sunday.
In all, 32 teams comprising 1,500 participants from police forces and supporting staff of various States, Union Territories, and Central Police Organisations will participate in the five-day event.
The first edition of the All India Police Weightlifting Cluster was hosted by Chhattisgarh Police at Bhilai in 2024-25.
