Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar appreciated the staff of the PMJ jewellery shop, who sustained injuries while resisting the robbery at their shop in Karimnagar on Sunday (May 3, 2026).

Mr. Sanjay visited the shop on Sunday (May 3) afternoon and enquired about the incident.

He said the miscreants who entered the shop under the guise of customers opened fire on the sales manager and other staff when the latter tried to foil their robbery attempt. In the melee, the robbers abandoned a bag and fled the scene. The police will ascertain the exact quantity of the stolen jewelry during the investigation, he said, exuding confidence that they will apprehend the robbers soon.
