Multiple parts of Hyderabad witnessed rainfall on Saturday (June 20), as dark clouds gathered over the city after noon, bringing showers and thunderstorms to several eastern and northeastern localities.

Rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms lashed AS Rao Nagar, Nacharam, Mallapur, Kushaiguda, ECIL, Chengicherla and areas surrounding Cherlapally from around 3 p.m., providing respite from the humid conditions that prevailed earlier in the day.

The skies, which remained bright during the first half of the day, turned overcast in the afternoon, triggering widespread rain in several parts of the city.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 8 p.m., Banjara Hills recorded a rainfall of 10 mm followed by 4.5 mm in Masab Tank, 3.5 mm in Medipally, 3 mm in Ghatkesar, 2 mm in Jubilee Hills and 2 mm in Goshamahal.
