Walkathon to create awareness on Down Syndrome held in Vellore

According to a press release, Collector V.R. Subbulaxmi flagged off the walkathon in the presence of A. Mayilvaganan, SP (Vellore), and Dhanush Kumar, Assistant SP (ASP), Vellore.

According to a press release, Collector V.R. Subbulaxmi flagged off the walkathon in the presence of A. Mayilvaganan, SP (Vellore), and Dhanush Kumar, Assistant SP (ASP), Vellore.

The Down Syndrome Federation of India (DSFI) organised a walkathon, within the fort complex in Vellore on Sunday, to create awareness on down syndrome.

According to a press release, Collector V.R. Subbulaxmi flagged off the walkathon in the presence of A. Mayilvaganan, SP (Vellore), and Dhanush Kumar, Assistant SP (ASP), Vellore.

More than 200 volunteers, mostly students and health staff, participated in the event. On the occasion, professor N. Balaji, director and trustee, Sri Narayani Group of Institutions, and Surekha Ramachandran, president, DSFI, were present, the release said.
