Labour Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy, along with District In-charge Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, visited Chennur constituency and performed the Bhoomi Pooja for the construction of an Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) at a cost of ₹47.11 crore.

He also handed over a cheque of ₹9 crore to women’s groups under the interest-free loan scheme.

Mr. Vivek said that the ATC is being set up to provide good job opportunities for the youth of the area. “I want the children here to study well and get trained in this centre and reach a good level,” he said.

“The funds of the previous MLA were limited to paper only and the State was burdened with debt during the BRS regime,” he said. He added that work worth ₹40 crore is currently being done in the constituency.

Mr. Jupally Krishna Rao revealed that a 1200 MW power plant has been set up in Jaipur and that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone for an 850 MW power plant in February. “If the power plant work is completed, local youth will get job opportunities,” he said.
