The venue has been named after Vadlamudi Vimala Devi, while the main stage has been named after writer B.V. Pattabhiram. Meanwhile, ‘Pratibha Vedika’, where students’ programmes will be held, is named after astrophysicist and writer Jayant Narlikar.

Disclosing details about the programmes, Mr. Manohar Naidu said a rally would be organised from the P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science to the IGMC Stadium on January 5. Along with book sales, literary and cultural programmes, including book discussions, seminars, poetry readings, cultural performances, children’s programmes, interactions with writers, will be organised, the society president said.
