Two bisons electrocuted in Jagtial district

Two bisons that strayed from Kawal tiger reserve have fallen prey to electrical fence in Jagtial district, the details of which came to light rather late.

The incident happened on April 21, 2026, at Medaram hamlet of Rechapalli mandal. The bisons came out of the reserve to quench thirst in a stream, after which they entered the fields of one Bhukya Naik, District Forest Officer Ravi Prasad informed.
