Visakhapatnam District Collector and Principal Census Officer M. Abhishikth Kishore on Friday said public cooperation is essential for the successful conduct of Phase 1 house listing under Census 2027, which commenced across the district. Enumerators will visit every household to collect data through a 33-point questionnaire covering drinking water, sanitation, housing conditions and family particulars. The Collector said the data would inform development planning for the next decade and urged residents to provide accurate information. He assured that responses would remain confidential and would not affect existing welfare benefits. Grievances may be addressed via the national toll-free number 1855 or the Collectorate numbers 0891-2590100 and 0891-2590102.
