Train services on the Kottavalasa-Kirandul (K-K) line have been hit owing to boulder fall before a goods train coming from Bacheli to Visakhapatnam between Tyada and Chimidipalli section, of Waltair Division, around 4 a.m. on Sunday (October 19, 2025).

According to information, the boulder led to derailment of two axles of the locomotive. The railway authorities immediately rushed to the site and commenced restoration works on a war footing. Railway sources said the loco was re-railed in a record time by 11.20 a.m. Safety inspection would be carried out and train services are expected to be normalised by Sunday evening (October 19, 2025).

Meanwhile, the Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger 58501/58502 is cancelled from both sides on Sunday (October 19, 2025).
