Author and Rajya Sabha MP Salma and ‘Kalaimamani’ ‘Ervadi’ S. Radhakrishnan received Kaviko award at a felicitation function that was organised by Kaviko Trust in Vellore on Saturday.
Officials of Kaviko Trust said that the award carries a title, a citation and a cash of ₹1 lakh for each recipient of the award. The award was jointly presented by poet T.M. Abdul Kadar, vice-president, Kaviko Trust, and poet M. Abdul Samadu.
On the occasion, S. Syed Ashraf, chairman, Kaviko Trust; A. Ayas Basha, secretary, Kaviko Trust; S.S. Shanjahan, member, Kaviko Trust; A. Ajeem, member, Kaviko Trust; and M. Sugumar, State Secretary, Tamil Iyakkam, were present.
