The focus of Telangana government is not only attracting investments, but also on long-term value creation, co-creation, and contributing to the global economy through sustainable partnerships, Minister for Industries and IT D. Sridhar Babu said.

Addressing a delegation from U.S. State of Utah, which called on him at the Secretariat here recently, the Minister said Telangana aims to move beyond conventional investment-led growth. It wants to be an integral part of global value chains, home to innovation-driven ecosystems and spur employment generation.

Mr. Sridhar Babu, inviting industrialists from Utah to explore investment opportunities in Telangana, said the State has emerged as a national role model in Ease of Doing Business.

Managing Director and COO of World Trade Center–Utah David Carlebach led the delegation consisting of representatives from aerospace, defence, advanced manufacturing, technology, AI-based healthcare, Life Sciences, clean energy, education and innovation sectors. The discussions during the meeting centred around bilateral cooperation between Utah and Telangana in the areas of innovation, technology transfer, joint research, and skill development, the Minister’s office said.

Mr. Sridhar Babu made a presentation on Telangana’s industrial policies, investor-friendly reforms, advantages for sector-specific investments, and incentives being offered to industries. He urged members of the delegation to facilitate connections between World Trade Center–Utah, Silicon Slopes and Utah-based start-ups with Telangana’s T-Hub, T-Works and WE-Hub. He also proposed collaborative research and academic programmes between leading institutions in Telangana and universities in Utah, including the University of Utah, Brigham Young University and Neumont University, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and emerging technologies.

Mr. Carlebach said Utah is keen to work with Telangana.
