Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari has been appointed as the TDP’s national general secretary while other leaders from Kurnool, Nandyal and Anantapur districts also got appointment in the party’s National and State committees announced on Wednesday.

Ms. Shabari becomes the first woman leader to be appointed as the party’s national general secretary. The first time MP, who is also a doctor by profession, is presently the Deputy Floor Leader in the Lok Sabha and had voiced the party’s stand on various issues in debates in the Parliament. She is the daughter of senior leader Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy.
