The State-run liquor shops aka TASMAC shops will remain closed for three days from April 21 on account of the Assembly election to be held across Tamil Nadu on April 23, officials said on Monday (April 13, 2026).

A total of 295 companies of paramilitary personnel will be deployed across the State. While 115 have been deployed, the remaining are set to reach the State on Monday night, they said.
